FAQs
Where are TIFA bags made?
Each bag is handcrafted in Fez, Morocco, by skilled artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Every stitch honors the spirit of Moroccan craftsmanship.
What kind of leather do you use?
We use full-grain, naturally tanned leather sourced from the historic Chouara Tannery in Fez — the highest quality leather available. It retains the hide’s natural texture, making each piece unique. Some of our bags are soft and supple, while others are more structured — this variation comes from the specific part of the hide used and how it’s treated during the tanning and finishing process. Nothing is coated or corrected, so you’re holding leather in its most authentic, lasting form — full of character, strength, and quiet beauty.
Is each bag unique?
Yes — and intentionally so. Because we work in small batches and use no machines, each TIFA bag is handmade slowly, with care and precision. Slight variations in color, grain, and finish are natural and part of what makes each piece one of a kind. Due to the time-intensive process, only a limited selection is available at a time — and once a batch is gone, the wait for the next begins. It’s not fast fashion — it’s meaningful craft, made to be worth the wait.
What is full-grain leather?
Full-grain leather is the most authentic and durable form of leather. It comes from the top layer of the hide and retains its natural texture, including subtle marks and grain variations. Unlike other types of leather, it isn’t sanded or altered — which means it ages beautifully, develops a unique patina over time, and tells a story with every wear. It’s strong, breathable, and made to last — just like everything we believe in.
What is your return policy?
